Like Her Mother

Black Hood Girl

A piece for Sacha Black’s writespiration prompt,
‘the girl that wore the black hood’. A 52 word story.

Kneeling in the rain

A girl with a black hood faces
A newly dug grave. Her white hands
Reach out
And hold the cold granite.

Engraved is her mother’s name.
Did you think this couldn’t happen?
A silent killer has no motive.

Pull back your black hood today,
Feel the bald rain.
